Shakers on the Kentucky Frontier: The Founding of South Union

South Union Shaker Village hosts Shakers on the Kentucky Frontier, a daylong symposium of presentations on topics related to the early history of South Union. Noted Shaker scholars Carol Medlicott, Doug Winiarski, and Christian Goodwillie will explore what drew the Shakers to Kentucky and the fascinating early days of growth of the community. The event includes a continental breakfast and lunch, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of recent restoration projects at South Union Shaker Village.
