DESCRIPTION:Join us at The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls for a special curatorial walkthrough of Form and Function: The Beauty of Shaker Design\, an exciting new exhibition showcasing exceptional objects drawn primarily from two private collections — many on view in a museum for the first time. Guided by curator Bryn Schockmel\, members of the Shaker Study Group will enjoy a behind-the-scenes exploration of the exhibition’s central themes: “Shakers at Work\,” highlighting industry and craftsmanship\, and “Shakers at Rest\,” a thoughtful survey of furnishings and objects used in everyday life\, from chairs and tables to storage boxes. \n\nEVENT INFORMATION: \n12:00 pm: Convene at the Hyde Collection\, 161 Warren Street\, Glens Falls\, for a brown bag lunch.
